Ü

Ü is a project born in 2021 out of the partnership of percussionists Thomas Canna and Filippo Abrate and musicians Giovanni Falascone (piano, live electronics) and Alessandro Luppi (soprano and bass clarinet, alto saxophone). The line-up is oriented towards a rhythmic/timbral research within which, starting from common backgrounds such as jazz, electroacoustic, ethnic, contemporary and experimental music, they investigate a ritual and evocative dimension in which to build a performance, a research space poised between compositional intent and pure improvisation, with the desire to look out onto the contemporary European panorama of experimental music.
